HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Honolulu firefighters responded to a building fire early Thursday on South King Street near Keeaumoku Street.
Honolulu Fire Capt. David Jenkins said nearly 20 firefighters responded around 6 a.m. to what was initially called in as a Dumpster fire which then spread to the exterior of Club Splash on 1360 South King Street.
Jenkins said the fire was brought under control by 6:10 a.m. The two employees who reported the fire evacuated the building. No injuries have been reported.
Lanes of King and Keeaumoku Streets were temporarily shut down during the firefight.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
