HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Island Air has announced it will discontinue service to Lanai as the airline continues to restructure its operations.
The company's CEO says it is "taking a hard look" at all of its destinations as it restructures and grows the interisland carrier.
The last flights will be on March 31. Those with confirmed reservations on April 1 or later can receive a full refund or have their reservation transferred to another airline.
The 11 employees based on Lanai will be offered the opportunity to transfer elsewhere within the company.
Island Air was recently taken over by Hawaii's largest venture capitol firm PACIFICAP.
Last month, the company announced it will restart service to Kauai on March 15th with 6 daily round-trip flights to Honolulu.
