HILO, BIG ISLAND (HawaiiNewsNow) -

Federal, Honolulu and Hawaii Island law enforcement raided nine illegal game rooms in Hilo, Kona and Waimea on Tuesday.

The nine locations were raided simultaneously. Seven are businesses, including the Cave, Winner's Zone, and Player's Choice. Two homes were also hit Tuesday afternoon.

Police said machines, large amounts of cash, computers, and other items were seized.

"We're searching for illegal gambling devices, as well as other items, proceeds, records and other evidence that has to do with gambling," Hawaii County Police Capt. Robert Wagner told Hawaii News Now.

Wagner said no arrests have been made but that could change as the investigation continues.

The nine search warrants were the result of weeks of work by detectives after complaints about the establishments.
