Authorities on scene said the driver fled.

It’s not clear what caused the crash.

Firefighters then worked to put out a truck fire near the intersection of Kalani and Kalihi Streets.

The fire was reported around 4:45 a.m., according to Honolulu police.

The Honolulu Fire Department has not yet released further information, so details are limited at this point.
