Search suspended for missing swimmer near Queen's Bath

PRINCEVILLE, KAUAI (HawaiiNewsNow) -

The Coast Guard and Kauai Fire Department have suspended their search for a missing male swimmer near Queen's Bath in Princeville on Kauai.

Officials report that 28-year-old Mykola Grebeniuk had been swept off the rocks on Thursday.

Grebeniuk was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and green shorts.

An MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew, HC-130 Hercules aircrew from Air Station Barbers Point and crews from the USCG Galveston Island and USCGC Kittiwake were used during the search operation. The Kauai Fire Department also assisted with helicopter and jet ski crews.

Anyone with information that may help locate Grebeniuk is asked to contact the Coast Guard Sector Honolulu Command Center at 808-842-2600.
