The Rainbow Warrior baseball team couldn't hold onto a 3-1 lead in the top of the ninth inning against New Mexico on Saturday, but that didn't stop them from leaving Les Murakami Stadium with their first home win of 2016.

Tied at 3, senior Alex Sawelson snapped a line shot down the left field line in the bottom of the 11th inning to score Marcus Doi and score the 'Bows a home victory.

Doi, a junior outfielder who started the game in left, went 2-3 at the plate on Saturday for a pair of base hits.

Senior pitcher Kyle Von Ruden allowed just one run in 6 innings, with four strikeouts.
