HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

HomeAid Hawaii, a non-profit partnership with the BIA-Hawaii and the local development and building industry, will announce its first three projects on Oahu to address homelessness in our communities. Joining HomeAid Hawaii will be the Mayor’s Office of Housing, the American Resort Development Association (ARDA-Hawaii) and representatives from the three non-profit providers receiving HomeAid’s assistance: Youth Outreach, Next Step Shelter, and the Institute for Human Services Inc.

The three projects provide shelter and support for youth, families, individuals, and medically frail or fragile discharged hospital patients who are experiencing homelessness. ARDA-Hawaii, the timeshare association, will be presenting a $1,000 donation to HomeAid Hawaii for the Youth Outreach renovation project.
