WAIPAHU, OAHU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Fire investigators are trying to determine the cause of a blaze that destroyed a Waipahu home Tuesday.
The fire at 94-150 Kahualoa St. started about 1:16 p.m., and was under control about 1:30 p.m.
Four people, including a 13-year-old boy, were at home when the blaze started and were able to escape without injury.
The Honolulu Fire Department said 12 people live at the home. They're being assisted by the American Red Cross of Hawaii.
Damage to the home and its contents is estimated at $470,000. Neighboring structures also sustained $5,000 in damage.
