HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Congrats to Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars as Uptown Funk take the Grammy for Record of the Year, but also got Best Pop Duo/Group Performance. The song features the former Hawaii Entertainer. Lots of people happy about that one; especially since the song was just a part of this years Super Bowl Halftime!
Taylor Swift won for Album of the Year and song of the year was Thinking Out Loud from Ed Sheeran; Sheeran would also pick up for Best Pop Solo Performance. Best New Artist is Meghan Trainor; which I was stoked about!
Some said Adele gave a subpar performance.
At one point a microphone dropped on the piano strings which made it sound like an out of tune guitar; CBS did admit there were sound problems. She did get a standing ovation.
No shows: Lauren Hill was supposed to perform with The Weekend, and Rhianna had to pull out due to bronchitis.
