HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Tradewinds will strengthen through Thursday, pushing in scattered showers, mostly for windward neighborhoods.
Leeward sides will only get a few light passing showers riding over the mountains on the breezy winds.
The surf will be trending down for north and west shores through the week, while the east wind swell will pick up as the winds kick up. A moderate country swell is due Friday.
A High Surf Advisory for north and west shores of Niihau, Kauai, Oahu, and Molokai, north shores of Maui, and west shores of Hawaii Island.
A Small Craft Advisory for all channels and most coastal waters is in effect.
And, there's a Gale Watch effective this evening for Alenuihaha Channel and coastal waters southwest and southeast of Hawaii Island.
