Hawaiian musician Taimane announces concert at Hawaii Theatre

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

Ukulele virtuoso and Na Hoku Hanohano Award Winner Taimane announced on Hawaii News Now "Sunrise" that she will headline the Hawaii Theatre for the first time on Friday, March 25th, her one and only debut on Hawaii's most historic and splendid stage. Tickets go on-sale this Saturday, January 30th at 10am (additional ticketing details below).
Taimane's Hawaii Theatre debut will be long remembered as she shares her fresh approach to one of Hawaii's most iconic instruments with a complete visual and auditory experience. More than a concert, Taimane's performance will feature high theater, bringing her story of The Elements to life through music, dance and narration. She will be supported by a panoply of talented artists from both far and near including Samadhi Hawaii, Kealoha, Paradise Tango, Kalalea, acclaimed Hawaii contemporary dancers and Shaolin Arts Society. Her acoustic trio and local and mainland musical guests will also join her on-stage.
"I couldn't be more excited about my upcoming debut at historic Hawaii Theatre," states Taimane. "I started planning the show last summer and not a day goes by without me thinking about it. The intimacy, acoustics and energy of the theatre are amazing, and I'm blessed to be producing all of the music and dance myself. It's truly a dream come true."
