Economists, travel experts to gather in Honolulu for outlook, economic forum

The Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) and the Travel and Tourism Research Association (TTRA) Hawai‘i Chapters will host its 2016 Annual Outlook & Economic Forecast Forum on Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2016 at the Hawai‘i Prince Hotel Waikiki. Attendees will hear from economists and visitor industry experts regarding market conditions, upcoming challenges and forecasts for 2016.     

“In 2015, we saw visitor arrivals post the sixth consecutive year of growth,” said Evan Jordan, PhD, assistant professor at University of Hawai‘i at Manoa’s School of Travel Industry Management and PATA Hawai‘i president. “We wanted to bring together a panel of experts to talk about what’s next for Hawai‘i and provide insights to the evolving behaviors of leisure travelers.”
