Authorities searching for OCCC extended furlough inmate

Authorities are searching for an Oahu Community Correctional Center extended furlough inmate who failed to report for his scheduled check-in at his module on Wednesday afternoon.

The state Department of Public Safety said John Luna, 36, is serving time for second-degree robbery, first-degree burglary, unauthorized possession of confidential personal information, third-degree possession of a detrimental drug and prohibited acts related to drug paraphernalia. Once found, a second-degree escape charge is expected to be added.

Luna is described as 5’11” and weighing 200 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes.

He is classified as community custody, which is the lowest custody level.
