This Saturday, January 30th, will be the 2nd of 3 Na Mele Mae’ole (Never-fading Songs) concerts at Kawaiaha’o Church, with the overall them of indigenous Hawaiian music art forms. This concert will feature kiho’alu or slack key guitar, a unique Hawaiian music tradition of “open tunings.” Featuring Hawaiian Slack Key Guitar artists, both old timers and up-and-coming artists.
The Hawaiian Music Hall of Fame mission is “to promote, preserve and perpetuate Hawaiian music and hula by celebrating the achievements of significant individuals and groups.”
