The annual real estate forecast forum was yesterday at the Convention Center. Usually the experts talk mostly about rising rents and other decimal-pointed topics.
Not this time.
Jay Elicker of Sofos Realty got up to forecast industrial real estate. He said several business people have reached out to check industrial property for medical marijuana. Elicker says, if these guys get licenses, they need production and storage facilities. Preferably they need a concrete slab, and some sort of security.
The larger lesson here - almost every story is eventually an economic story.
