Forecast: Another giant swell could build surf to 45 feet

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

Light winds and fuzzy sunshine for our Wednesday.

Vog (volcanic haze) is increasing as the overall flow is from the southeast. Those with respiratory issues should take precautions.

Very dry and stable atmosphere with an afternoon high of 82 degrees.

Surf is building out in the country. The National Weather Service says by afternoon, north shores could reach between 35 to 45 feet, west shores at 20 to 30 feet, east shores at 2 to 4 feet, and south shores at 1 to 3 feet.

A High Surf Warning has been issued for north and west shores of Niihau, Kauai, Oahu, and Molokai and north shores of Maui. A High Surf Advisory is in effect for west shores of the Big Island.

A Small Craft Advisory remains for almost all Hawaii waters.
