HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

Now that we know which teams will compete in the Super Bowl on February 7, we're getting a better look at which players will not make the trip to Hawaii to participate in the 2016 NFL Pro Bowl.

A combined 14 players from the Denver Broncos, the AFC Champions, and the Carolina Panthers, winners of the AFC Championship, will skip the annual all-star game, which occurs on the Sunday before the title game.

Carolina's Cam Newton (QB), Jonathan Stewart (RB), Greg Olsen (TE), Ryan Kalil (OL), Trai Turner (OL), Mike Tolbert (FB), Luke Kuechly (MLB), Thomas Davis (MLB), Kawann Short (DT) and Josh Norman (CB) will all be absent from this week's Pro Bowl festivities, as will Chris Harris, Jr., (CB), Aqib Talib (CB), Von Miller (OLB) and Demarcus Ware (OLB) of the Denver Broncos.

Replacements for players on the Broncos and the Panthers, as well as for the players on the Patriots and Cardinals who may choose not to make the trip, are expected to be announced before Wednesday's Pro Bowl Draft.
