Honolulu Police investigate two Honolulu bank robberies

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

Saturday afternoon Honolulu police responded to two Central Pacific Bank robberies in the Ala Moana area.

The first incident happened around 11 a.m. at the bank’s Kapiolani Boulevard location. Police say a male approached a teller and demanded money.

Around 2 p.m. a second call was made alerting police to the Central Pacific Bank located in the Don Quijote on Kaheka Street. At this location an adult male demanded money from a female teller and fled with an undisclosed amount.

It is unknown at this time if the suspect used a weapon in either of the incidents or if the robberies are connected.

Police say these cases are currently under investigation.
