KILAUEA VOLCANO, BIG ISLAND (HawaiiNewsNow) -

Eruptive activity within the Halema'uma'u Overlook crater on the Big Island continues with the lava lake level rising to about 110 feet below the crater rim.

As the lava lake level rises, bubbling lava becomes more visible and explosions from falling rocks occur more frequently.

USGS also reports small breakouts dotted the flow field within three miles of Pu'u O'o. The flows currently pose no threat to nearby communities.
