High Surf Warning has been posted for most north and west shores. A huge swell is heading into north and west shores.

A High Surf Advisory has been posted for West Hawaii.

Surf heights will be extreme by Friday morning. 40-45 feet north, 20-25 feet for the west. East and South shores will be in the 1-3 foot range.

The Quicksilver Eddie Aikau competition is not expected to run due to the choppy conditions along with the forecast for the peak of the swell to be too short in duration.

An approaching front is due in Thursday night and Friday with cloudy skies and scattered windward and mauka showers, mainly for Kauai and Oahu. The front is expected to bring a brief round of north north east winds with slightly cooler temperatures and lower humidity levels.
