Department of Transportation to hold community meeting on bike pathways

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

The Department of Transportation Services will hold a community-based public informational meeting regarding several proposed bikeway and roadway projects in the Honolulu urban core on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Neal Blaisdell Center, Hawaii Suite. 

The meeting agenda will include: The proposed South Street protected bike lane/bike lanes, including new designs based on community input and anticipated roadway changes; the proposed South Street partial 2-way conversion; the proposed Halekauwila Street partial 1-way conversion; and the South King Street protected bike lane update and receipt of comments/concerns.

This meeting will provide the community, residents, and businesses alike an opportunity to review proposed bikeway and roadway projects in the Honolulu urban core, offer comments, voice concerns, and ask questions.
