Aloha Aaron: Former Hawaii News Now employee dies after battle with cancer

A former Hawaii News Now employee and longtime friend of many in the business died Monday night after losing a battle with cancer.

Aaron Iyomasa worked in the local broadcast industry for more than 30 years and was involved in various sports broadcasts as well as programs such as “Hot Hawaiian Nights,” "What's Cooking Hawaii," and the Na Hoku Hano Hano Awards.

He was 55 years old.

A GoFundMe page was created to help with medical costs and other finances. All donations will be delivered to Iyomasa’s family.
