67th Narcissus Queen crowned

Ashley Fu was crowned the 67th Narcissus Queen on Saturday at the Hawaii Theater.

Fu was also awarded Most Photogenic and given awards for talent and popularity.

For the next several weeks the 2016 Nacissus Queen and her court of princesses will make various appearances throughout the state in celebration of Chinese New Year. They will also serve as ambassadors of aloha by representing Hawaii’s Chinese community on a Goodwill Tour to China.

Born in San Diego, Fu attended the University of Hawaii at Manoa where she earned a degree in economics and hopes to pursue a master’s degree in entrepreneurship.

She currently works as an associate account manager at Kaiser Permanente Hawaii and aspires to start a thyroid support group in Hawaii.

Also crowned were:

First Princess: Cassandra Chang

Second Princess: Jill Lau Fukumoto 

Third Princess: Jessica Cheng

Fourth Princess: Lena Zheng

The Narcissus Queen pageant is presented by the Chinese Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii.
