Dan Cooke's forecast: Trade winds will stick around

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

A bonus day of trade wind weather! The easterly trades are sticking around an extra day and are bringing us some showers this morning. Windward and mauka neighborhoods are wet with some of the rainfall spreading leeward. There should be partly to mostly sunny skies by early afternoon. The high in Honolulu will be 80 degrees.

Country surf is lower but still big enough to maintain a High Surf Advisory through today. Smaller surf tomorrow and then three northwest swells Friday through Monday that will trigger more advisories and probably a warning.
