HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

A former Honolulu police officer is scheduled to report to a Los Angeles prison on Tuesday.

Vincent Morre plead guilty to violating the civil rights of two men in an assault on two men in an Ala Moana game room in September 2014.

He originally could have received five years in prison, but the judge reduced his term to two-and-a-half years because he took responsibility and made a training video for HPD recruits.

Morre was caught on surveillance when the attacked two men. The video shows Morre punching, kicking and slapping the men. He even throws a chair at one them, which hits the victim in the head.

The victim had to go to the hospital to treat a broken finger and get stitches in his head.

Morre, a 9-year veteran of the force pleaded guilty to violating the civil rights of both men.

He resigned from HPD in 2015.
