HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

Doctors, nurses and a family that just got bigger celebrated Hawaii's first baby of the year at the Kapiolani Medical Center, early Friday morning.

Newborn Aiden Osorio-Fred was born at 12:32 a.m., just less than ten minutes earlier than Kaiser's first baby.

Aiden's mother, Sheila Osorio was actually at a new year's party when she went into labor. She says she's lucky and never expected her baby boy to come so soon.

"He was actually supposed to be born January 2nd, but he was born on the new years," Osorio said.

Aiden was born a healthy baby at 7 lb and 1.4 oz. He joins two other siblings.
