Entertainment: Trending for 2015 National & Hawai'i

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - We want to take a look back at some of the topics that were trending this year.
Remember the White and Gold Dress?  Or was it Black and Blue?  Lots were debating and the entire internet blew up over that.  But science had the explanation.  It comes down the way the human eyes have evolved to view colour.

How about when Kim Kardashian broke the internet.  This is the only photo we can show you with her clothes on.

But it was Katy Perry's Super Bowl sidekicks that spurred shark mania.  Perry's dancing sharks... particularly the "Left Shark" ...charmed viewers with his hilariously off-tempo moves.  It spawned lots of merchandise...including the shark suit for Halloween.


Miss Kona Coffee became Miss Hawaii:  Steve Uyehara served as host at the Miss Hawaii Scholarship Pagaent where Jeanne Kapela was crowned Miss Hawaii in June of 2015.

Keali'i Reichel's finale in the series of CD releases called "Kawaiokalena" was released in 2014, but won 8 awards for excellence in the Hawaii Recording Industry at the Na Hoku Hanohano Awards

TV in Hawaii:   Today Show visited our islands with Al Roker on a "Rokerthon", Hawaii Five-0 had a blessing, had their Sunset on the Beach World Premiere and are in the middle of Season 6.

Films in Hawaii Jurassic World was on the top of the Box Office for a short bit, but it is still amongst the biggest movies ever released; with lots more movies being filmed here
