HONOLULU (AP) - The number of travelers to Hawaii rose 3.7 percent in November compared with the same month last year.

The Hawaii Tourism Authority said Tuesday more than 660,000 visitors came to Hawaii in November. It's the ninth straight month visitor arrivals have hit records.

More travelers flew to Hawaii from the U.S. mainland during the month, though fewer visitors came from Canada.

Travel from Japan was flat.

Visitor spending climbed 2.5 percent over the same month last year.

Hawaii Tourism Authority CEO George Szigeti says the numbers show how compelling Hawaii's brand is to global travelers.
