Strong winds linger for some parts of state

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

A Wind Advisory for much of the state has been canceled, but the gusty conditions will remain for some islands.

A Wind Advisory is in effect for parts of the Big Island, Lanai and Kahoolawe until 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Sustained winds of 15 to 25 miles per hour with gusts to 50 miles per hour are expected in the morning.

The High Wind Warning for the summit areas of Haleakala and the Kohala District of the Big Island has also been canceled.
