Man accused of Kapolei shooting sentenced to life in prison

KAPOLEI, OAHU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The man accused of shooting another man in Kapolei was sentenced Wednesday to life in prison.

Matthew Chung, 25, was found guilty in August of attempted murder for shooting his friend while they were both using crystal meth. Authorities said last year's shooting injured the friend in the chest and arms.

Chung received a life sentence with the possibility of parole.
