Water for the World

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - From Water For the World

Have you heard of "The Wettest Run on the Planet" yet? Did you know that approximately twice the population of the U.S. worldwide doesn't have access to clean water?

Water For The World Run aims to help change that with their inaugural 5K FUN RUN/WALK to be held on DEC. 26th 2015 (the day after Christmas) at the Waikiki Shell. This awesome and amazing fun 5K Run/Walk will feature a beautiful scenic course that loops around the Waikiki zoo and then goes around the always beautiful Kapiolani park.

The Epic finish line will be  directly in the Waikiki Shell with an optional slip and slide finish, DJ dance party, fun interactive vendors, refreshments, beer garden and most of all a pat on the back for helping in the fight for clean drinking water worldwide!

We will give 10% of all proceeds directly to water.org and $1 of every entry fee will go to Na Kama Kai (the children of the sea) Duane Desoto's foundation that helps teach the keiki of the islands about ocean safety and respect for the aina!

Water For The World Run welcomes walkers, runners and crawlers of all ages to come and give back to a great cause and have a fun filled day for the day after Christmas blues! As Steve Jobs so eloquently put: "PEOPLE WHO ARE CRAZY ENOUGH TO THINK THEY CAN CHANGE THE WORLD ARE THE ONES WHO DO!" So come out and be one of those crazy people who make clean water a reality for those poor souls worldwide who don't, have an awesome LAST SATURDAY OF 2015 and do something that matters, that is fun and that you can make a tradition for years to come!
