HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Under the direction of President Barack Obama, the United States and Hawaii flags will be flown at half-staff to pay respect to the victims of the San Bernardino, Calif. mass shootings, according to the office of Gov. David Ige.
The state Capitol, other state offices and the Hawaii National Guard will lower their flags until Dec. 7.
"Our hearts are heavy with grief for the victims of this senseless act of violence, and our thoughts are with their families, colleagues and friends," Gov. Ige said in a statement. "We mourn along with the San Bernardino community."
