MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA (HawaiiNewsNow) - Maui native Anuhea is bringing the Aloha Spirit to the Midwest where she'll sing the national anthem in a stadium packed with more than 50,000 people.
The Hawaiian singer-songwriter will perform on Sunday for the Minnesota Vikings game against the Seattle Seahawks at TCF Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.
"I'm pretty nervous about singing," Anuhea said. "I'm a Hawaii girl with Hawaii vocal chords at that kind of temperature and there's like a winter storm coming through right now, and I'm just praying everything will be OK."
Anuhea, who now lives in Kona, said she grew up as a Vikings fan because of her dad, and a fan of her music – who happens to be friends with the team's owner – helped her land the gig.
Anuhea also performed at the NBA's Golden State Warriors and Portland Trail Blazers game in April.
