Police said Arthur Galvan intentionally started the fire within the Jetso Auto Center building, causing more than $500,000 in damage to the building, its contents and even vehicles outside the building. Thirty-five firefighters responded to the fire, which took more than an hour to extinguish.
Police originally detained Galvan and took him in for a mental health evaluation after neighbors said they saw him leave the scene with a suspicious bottle.
Upon further investigation, police arrested Galvan Tuesday afternoon at an address that matches Castle Medical Center. He was arrested on suspicion of first-degree arson. At last check, he was still in police custody.
