WAIKIKI (HawaiiNewsNow) -

Crews have re-opened all lanes of Kalakaua Avenue heading into Waikiki after repairing a fallen pole.

The pole came down between Makaloa and Fern Streets after a truck apparently crashed into it around 1:30 Tuesday afternoon.

The incident resulted in a widespread power outage affecting at least 1,100 customers.

By 2:55 p.m., power had been restored to all but 50 customers, who were expected to remain without power through the evening.

The cause of the crash is currently unknown. No serious injuries are reported.
