First person cured of HIV shares story on World Aids Day

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Tuesday is World Aids Day, and approximately 2,900 people in Hawaii are living with HIV/AIDS -- many of whom are unaware that they have it.

Timothy Brown, the first person to be cured of HIV, is here on the islands to share his story. Drs. Cecilia Shikuma and Lishomwa "Lish" Ndhlovu joined him to talk about how the virus as well as an upcoming event to spread awareness.
