City officials to hold public meeting on improving Chinatown area

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The City and County of Honolulu is looking for public input on ways to improve and clean up the Chinatown area.

A meeting will be held Tuesday where officials will present a draft action plan with strategies on improving the historic downtown neighborhood.

The recommendations in the draft action plan include a business improvement district to improve cleanliness, pedestrian improvements at key intersections, wayfinding signage and upgrades for the Nuuanu Stream corridor.

The meeting starts at 6 p.m. in the Hawaii Pacific University multipurpose room 3 at the Aloha Tower Marketplace.
