'The Rock' pumps up the Kahuku Red Raiders in a video posted on Facebook
HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -
For the first time in nearly ten years, the two most storied programs in Hawaii high school football history will meet on the field at Aloha Stadium Friday night to decide the First Hawaiian Bank/HHSAA Football State Championship.
Kahuku vs. Saint Louis is a match up expected to draw a large audience to Aloha Stadium, and the spotlight on the game is even bigger now thanks to a Hollywood star.
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, a former Hawaii resident, created a spirited video of himself pumping up his team of choice: Kahuku.
"Don't underestimate your competition," he says. "I'm very fortunate to be in the position I am today, I've achieved a good amount, I'm lucky to be successful, but I do it because I do not ever, ever underestimate my competition. And neither will you."
