The National Weather Service in Honolulu has issued a Flood Advisory for the island of Kauai.
The Advisory is posted until 3:30 p.m. Friday.
Around 12:30 p.m., radar showed heavy rain that could cause minor flooding on the island. Heavy rains are moving up from the south and will move over the entire island. Radar was showing rain falling at 1 to 2 inches per hour along the south shore of Kauai.
Locations in the advisory include, but are not limited to: Lihue, Kalaheo, Princeville, Kilauea, Wailua, Waimea and Kokee State Park.
This advisory may need to be extended if heavy rain persists.
