Maui police open arson investigation after suspect sets fire to stolen truck
WAILUKU, MAUI (HawaiiNewsNow) -
Maui police have opened an arson investigation after someone set fire to a stolen truck on Saturday.
Police said around 6 a.m., a man wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and black basketball shorts parked the white 2000 Toyota Tacoma truck in front of the Wailuku police station. The man then set the interior of the truck on fire, according to officers.
Surveillance cameras captured the man fleeing on foot where he was last seen running through the Kaiser Permanente clinic parking lot.
