The Flood Advisory for Oahu has expired, but has been extended for Molokai. Radar indicated heavy rain all over Molokai, causing minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
A Flood Advisory is in effect for Oahu and Molokai as heavy rain fueled by abundant tropical moisture spreads across the state.
The Flood Advisory for Oahu is in effect until 8:15 a.m. Radar and rain gages were showing the heaviest rain affecting Windward locations.
On Molokai, the Flood Advisory is also in effect until 8:15 a.m. Radar showed rainfall rates between 1 and 2 inches per hour.
The heavy rain is approaching from the south. The conditions are also impacting traffic, with flooding closing Kamehameha Highway in both directions near the Waiahole stream.
The advisory may be extended if heavy rain persists.
The entire state is under a Flash Flood Watch until late Friday night.
