Interview: Big Brothers Big Sisters partners with Subaru Hawaii

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - We talked story with Big Sister Sena Pierce and Little Sister Jessica Iwamasa about the exciting things that are happening with the BBBS Programs in Hawaii.

This is the fifth year that Big Brothers, Big Sisters Hawaii is partnering with Subaru Hawaii's community-based "Share the Love" campaign where it donates $250 for each new 2015 or 2016 Subaru vehicle sold, up to $30,000 from November 1 to December 31, 2015, to six local nonprofit organizations. Big Brothers Big Sisters Hawaii is one of the lucky partners this year. Subaru Hawaii's "Share the Love" campaign has donated more than $100,000 to local nonprofit organizations in the past five years and the funds donated to Big Brothers Big Sisters has allowed many more children to be served throughout the state.

- The public can vote for their favorite participating nonprofit organization once a day throughout the campaign at Subaru Hawaii's online voting contest now until Dec 31. At the end of the campaign, Subaru Hawaii will award the organization with the most "votes" an additional $5,000.

- The BBBS clothing and household items drive is part of Subaru Hawaii's "Share the Love" campaign. We will have donation bins at the Oahu and Maui Subaru Hawaii dealerships throughout the month of November. Items needed include:
