A large earthquake shook the Solomon Islands on Wednesday, but there's no tsunami threat to Hawaii, according to the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center.
The 7.0-magnitude quake struck about 50 miles south-southwest of Dadali in the Solomon Islands, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The quake occurred around 8:30 a.m. HST.
