An east swell combined with moderate trade winds will bring elevated surf to east shores of most of the Hawaiian islands, the National Weather Service says.
A High Surf Advisory is in effect for east-facing shores of Kauai, Oahu, Molokai, Maui and the Big Island until 6 p.m. Monday.
Surf will reach 7 to 10 feet along these shores.
Forecasters said to expect strong breaking waves, shore break and strong currents, making swimming dangerous.
