Saturday keiki and families were able to attend the ‘Energy Fun Fair'. The event was hosted by Kapolei Lofts and Hawaiian Electric, and it was free to the public.

One of the most exciting attractions were the robotics demonstration from students of Kapolei High School and Island Pacific Academy. There were also booths by local energy companies sharing information on how to be sustainable and energy efficient to lower your electric bill. The families could also enjoy a tour of the Kapolei Lofts' model units, which has energy efficient features and a self-guided tour.

The tour allowed you visit all the green and sustainable features of Kapolei Lofts by using a energy map. Everyone that completed the tour were entered to win an Energy Savings Toolkit courtesy of Hawaiian Electric and a $100 Target gift card.

The keiki could have fun in the bounce house and slide, and enjoy food from Mega-Load Burgers food truck.

The Kapolei Lofts were developed by Forest City Hawaii through an innovative financing structure using both public and private funds. The rental residence has 499 units and is located in the middle of Kapolei.
