HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A tire issue was reported during Hawaiian Airlines flight to Honolulu Thursday morning, according to the airline.
Hawaiian Airlines Flight 101 took off from Hilo at around 6:20 a.m., according to FlightAware, but by 6:40, a problem was detected one the plane's right tire. Officials said there were threads around the wheel, but it was still intact.
The plane touched down safely at the Honolulu International Airport by 7 a.m. and all passengers exited without any injuries.
Airline fire crews also responded.
Hawaiian Airlines said the tire will be replaced.
