An inmate was taken to a local hospital after allegedly being stabbed by another inmate at the Oahu Community Correctional Center Monday evening.
Around 6 p.m., authorities say convicted kidnapper Shane Flores was returning to OCCC after a work furlough release, when he got into an altercation with another inmate outside their module.
Flores, 43, allegedly stabbed a 28-year-old inmate more than once.
Flores was arrested by police and released pending investigation just before midnight.
The 28-year-old inmate was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital for treatment of his injuries. Police said he will not press charges against Flores.
