With the deadline for the University of Hawaii head football coach position approaching on Friday, another candidate announced he’s up for the challenge.
Former UH associate head coach Rich Miano said he will apply for the UH head football coach position that was recently held by Norm Chow, who was fired Sunday.
His confirmation comes not long after former UH head coach June Jones announced he will seek the position.
Miano was previously head football coach for Kaiser High School, leading the team to the state’s division two championship last year.
