The Hawaii Community Development Authority needs some new people. First board member Tom McLaughlin quit - he's moving to the mainland. Now executive director Anthony Ching is retiring for health reasons. Duane Shimogawa of PBN broke this. Ching speaks to the HCDA board tomorrow.

REC Solar completes installation of Hawaii's largest solar project - 12 megawatts for the Kauai Island Utility Cooperative - in Anahola, Kauai. REC Solar has also done solar installs Turtle Bay, Keck Observatory and Dole Plantation. Blessing in Anahola on November 7.

The Singapore and Southeast Asian conference is today on Maui - starts 9 a.m. at the Maui County Business Resource Center, with a speaker from the Singapore office of the U.S. Commercial Service.

Honolulu magazine editor Robbie Dingeman has hired Cathy Toth Fox as new food and dining editor. Cathy is local-local, she's a prolific poster of social media food porn. A good magazine just got better.
