Authorities seek OCCC work furlough inmate who failed to return

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

Authorities are asking the public to help them locate an Oahu Community Correctional Center work furlough inmate who failed to return from a day pass Sunday evening.

Lewellyn Foster, 31, left Sunday morning and was scheduled to return by 4 p.m., but never came back.

Foster was serving time for second-degree theft and burglary, but second-degree escape is expected to be added to his charges. He is classified as community custody, which is the lowest level custody.

He is described as 5’8” and weighing 175 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes.
